How do I get started?

The first step is to set up a free phone consultation to learn a little about you and give you information about the practice. Should you decide to move forward, then an initial 60-minute evaluation can be scheduled to take place either in person or online. If Dr. Mesrie determines that you could benefit from more specialized treatment, she will provide suitable referrals

How much do your services cost?

Please connect with Dr. Mesrie to discuss current fees. In accordance with the “No Surprises Act” that goes into effect January 1, 2022, you have the right to request a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected cost of services.

How frequently do meetings take place?

The frequency of sessions varies depending on the type of work being done together.

If working together in therapy, sessions will take place weekly for 45 minutes but can be modified depending on the needs of the individual from a minimum of every two weeks to up to 2-3 times a week in more intensive treatment. Maintaining a frequent and consistent schedule is critical for the effectiveness of psychotherapy.

For medication management, the frequency of sessions will vary depending on the stage of treatment. The cadence can range from every two weeks during the initial stages of treatment to once every three months in the maintenance phase.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Explore Psychiatry is not in-network with any insurance providers. As a courtesy to clients, Dr. Mesrie will provide a bill with all required information that can be submitted to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. Dr. Mesrie does not communicate with any insurance providers on behalf of clients.

HOW CAN I LEARN MORE ABOUT WHAT MY INSURANCE COVERS?

Please call your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have coverage for out-of-network mental health outpatient visits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • What percentage of mental health service fees are covered?

  • How many visits are covered in a calendar year?

WHAT FORMs OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

Payment is accepted conveniently via credit card. All fees are due at time of service.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

In order to ensure the ability to provide timely appointments, Dr. Mesrie requests a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment without charge. Any cancellations that are provided at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time will not be charged. In the event that the client does not provide notice or cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee will be charged.

DO YOU TAKE INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS?

Currently, Dr. Mesrie is licensed to treat patients located throughout New York, New Jersey and Florida. She is not accepting international clients at this time.
